It's not one of the ultra-high quality monitors for sure, but it is still better than the SyncMaster which I thought was pretty darned good as well! Overall, I'm glad to get rid of the eye strain and headaches of the CRT monitors along with the annoying buzz that they tend to have. The 160 degree viewing angle of this Samsung LCD monitor gives you a perfect view from any part of your home. With Windows Vista Premium certification, this Samsung 22-inch monitor offers amazing images and videos for an outstanding visual performance. Finally I found a 22" LCD for sub-$300 (Acer AL2216W) and that was my birthday present to myself. With 2 ms of response time the SyncMaster 226CW monitor reduces blur in the fast-moving scenes. Plenty of little features to tweak it and it was plenty bright (too bright at full brightness for me). Sure it's old now, but at the time I really liked it. My 19" Samsung CRT started going out so I needed something around the same size, but would be easy to take to LAN parties, thus an LCD. It was fine for documents and web browsing, but not much other than that. ![]() The first was a cheap 15" eMachines monitor.
